MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Durante los días 6 y 7 de octubre del 2018, el relativamente nuevo Festival Musical MEMPHO regresa este año al Parque de Shelby Farms para una segunda edición acompañada de una lista impresionante de artistas, entre los cuales destacan Beck y Post Malone. Los otros artistas que se estarán presentando en esta ocasión son: Phoenix, Janelle Monáe, Nas, Mac DeMarco, Milky Chance, Rich The Kid, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Juicy J, Project Pat, Stones Throw (feat. Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler, Farryl Jones, Tim Ries, & Karl Denson), Lucero, The Bar-Kays, Big Ass Truck, Larkin Poe, Eric Gales, Royal Studios Presents William Bell, Bobby Rush, Frayser Boy, & Hi Rhythm, Don Bryant & The Bo-Keys, Danny Barnes’ Space Program, John Nemeth & The Love Light Orchestra, The Como Mamas, Sam Lewis, Boo Mitchell & The Kings, Talibah Safiya, Cory Branan y Brandon “Taz” Niederuaer.

Además de presentar una diversa variedad de géneros musicales, el festival ofrecerá por primera vez en Shelby Farms Park opciones para acampar y “glamping” –llamado también “glamorous camping”, este término describe un creciente fenómeno global que combina la experiencia de acampar al aire libre con el lujo y las condiciones propias de los mejores hoteles.

También se ha asociado este año con el Consejo de Mujeres del Área de Memphis (Memphis Area Women’s Council) para promover la campaña Memphis Says NO MORE, cuyo objetivo es crear conciencia sobre la violencia doméstica y la agresión sexual, brindando así un ambiente seguro, inclusivo y acogedor para todos los asistentes. Por si fuera poco, Mempho se ha unido al movimiento #BringYourSoul, para celebrar la originalidad, el alma y el cambio por lo que la ciudad de Memphis es conocida. Igualmente, Mempho se ha asociado con la Oceanic Global Foundation, una organización sin fines de lucro que educa a las personas sobre temas que impactan nuestro océano a través del arte, la música y las tecnologías emergentes.

In addition to presenting a diverse variety of musical genres, the festival will offer camping and “glamping” options for the first time at Shelby Farms Park.

Mempho Music Festival is also partnering this year with the Memphis Area Women’s Council to promote the Memphis Says NO MORE campaign—aimed at raising awareness for domestic violence and sexual assault—by providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all attendees. Likewise, Mempho has joined the #BringYourSoul movement, celebrating the originality, soul, and change that Memphis is known for. Additionally, Mempho Music Festival has teamed up with the Oceanic Global Foundation—a non-profit that educates individuals on issues impacting our ocean through art, music, and emerging technologies.

Being brought by Big River Presents, Mempho Fest blends today’s top performers with Memphis’ rich musical history, creating a festival experience filled with music, food, and nature for people of all ages.
