Ricky Martin says not done facial retouching

San Juan, Oct 1 (EFE).- Pop star Ricky Martin said Friday he had not done facial retouching following rumors on the internet that he may have gone under the knife after his face looked bloated in an interview.

He said the visible change in his looks was due to a multivitamin serum that caused inflammation but did not give too many details.

The Puerto Rican singer released a one-minute video on social media to quell the rumors triggered by his changed facial appearance.

Earlier, he had appeared in the interview with Entertainment Tonight related to his tour of the United States with Spanish Enrique Iglesias and Colombian Sebastián Yatra.

His fans speculated that he might have used botox or done cosmetic surgery.

The 49-year-old singer sought to assure that everything was fine to his “worried” fans who thought, “I did something to my face.”

“I am here because I think some of you are very worried, worried because I supposedly did something to my face and I did not do anything to my face,” he said, smiling.

“If I put on botox or ‘fillers’ I would have told them. I have nothing to hide.”

Martin said he had put on a multivitamin serum that on the day of the interview, causing “a strange reaction to my skin.”

He said no one wanted to cancel the interview.

Putting the rumors to rest, he said that “everything is fine and my life is very healthy.” EFE
