Man United in lucky late win against Brighton

London, Sep 26 (efe-epa).- Manchester United secured a lucky 3-2 victory on Saturday against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League.

The Red Devils took three points in their first win of the season with a dramatic penalty in the final moments of added time.

Brighton were unlucky to lose the match at their home ground after hitting the woodwork five times.

United have had a shaky start to the season and it was another unconvincing performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

The Reds came back from behind after an opening goal from the Seagulls.

Bruno Fernandes gave a penalty away with a challenge against Tariq Lamptey which Neal Maupay converted, making it 1-0 to Brighton.

The Seagulls then had a series of near-misses, hitting the woodwork three times.

United equalized just before half time with a cross from Fernandes that Nemanja Matic chipped into the six-yard box and skipper Harry Maguire sent to the back of the net.

Brighton were awarded a second penalty at the start of the second half which was overturned by VAR.

Marcus Rashford tried to put United ahead with a goal that was disallowed for being offside.
