Bayern’s Lucas Hernandez summoned to Spain to serve prison sentence

Madrid, Oct 13 (EFE).- A Madrid court on Wednesday summoned Bayern Munich’s French player Lucas Hernandez to serve a six-month prison sentence as it turned down a suspension request by the former Atletico Madrid player.

Hernandez was sentenced to six months in prison for breaking a restraining order on his partner after they went on a honeymoon despite a court order keeping them apart over domestic violence.

The Frenchman requested the prison sentence to be suspended, but his request was denied by a Madrid penal court he had been convicted twice with gender violence charges.

He has been summoned on 19 October for voluntary admission to prison within a maximum period of 10 days.

The latest verdict has been appealed before Madrid’s Provincial Court. EFE
