Bucks beat Hawks to come within one win of NBA Finals

Sports Desk, Jul 1 (EFE).- The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 123-112 on Tuesday night to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals series and come within one win of reaching the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Sun.

In a game in which neither the Hawks’ Trae Young, nor the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo played due to injury, center Brook Lopez led the way for the Milwaukee team with 33 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 blocks.

Others also stepped up to make up for the absence of Antetokounmpo, who suffered a hyperextended left knee during Game 4.

Khris Middleton had 26 points and came close to a triple-double with 13 rebounds and 8 assists while point guard Jrue Holiday finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists and Bobby Portis notched 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

The standout for the Hawks was Bogdan Bogdanovic, who had 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while John Collins and Danilo Gallinari each scored 19 points and Lou Williams, Young’s replacement, another 17.

Game 6 will be played at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Sunday. EFE
