Mbappé makes PSG roster for Real Madrid after training scare

Paris, Mar 8 (EFE).- Kylian Mbappé on Tuesday made the Paris Saint-Germain squad list for the Champions League last-16 second leg against Real Madrid after an injury scare in training raised concerns he would be forced to miss the tie.

The French star picked up a knock during Monday’s training session a couple of days before the clash, sounding the alarm in the French powerhouse, although tests have ruled out a serious injury.

A star-packed PSG, including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Angel Di María and Marco Verratti, travels to Madrid in a bid to clinch a quarterfinal seat Wednesday having bagged a 1-0 first-leg advantage.

Spaniard Sergio Ramos will travel with the group to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium for the first time since his departure from Real Madrid, although he did not make the team due to a persistant injury.

“Sergio asked us to travel to Madrid,” PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino said in an interview with Efe.

“He would like to travel, he is a player who has practically spent his entire career at Real Madrid, 17 years, he has been captain and won so much there.

“It is clear that he would like to return and he asked us to be able to travel and attend the game,” he added. EFE
