Ukraine eliminates 1,270 Russian frontline soldiers in one day: Kyiv

Kyiv, Dec 6 (EFE).- Ukraine troops killed 1,270 Russian soldiers along the battle front over the past 24 hours, one of the highest daily casualty figures since the beginning of the war, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday.

Across the entire conflict, Kyiv estimates the total number of Russian casualties at more than 335,000.

The General Staff said that also on Tuesday, Russia lost 13 tanks, 40 armored combat vehicles, 37 artillery systems and one aircraft, among other things.

As far as the situation in the theaters of operations is concerned, Donetsk’s Avdiivka remains the hottest area. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops repelled up to 25 Russian attacks on Tuesday in and near this town.

Since Oct. 10, Russia has mobilized a large number of troops in order to finish surrounding Avdiivka, and has made modest but consistent advances since then. Kyiv estimates Russian casualties in these actions at several thousand since then.

Russia also launches constant attacks near Bakhmut and Marinka, two towns completely devastated by war in the eastern region of Donetsk. EFE
