Memphis in May officials say they were contacted last week by StubHub, after they noticed a number of potentially fraudulent tickets that were being sold on their site. StubHub is now working with Ticketfly.com, the current official ticket provider for the Memphis in May events, to investigate the case and formally file charges against the fraudulent sellers.
Whether bought online through a third-party ticket-selling website such as StubHub or outside the gates at Tom Lee Park, patrons risk purchasing duplicated print-at-home tickets or previously-scanned tickets which are not valid for admission. To avoid becoming a victim of this crime, it is recommended to buy Memphis in May tickets through the only authorized vendor, Ticketfly.com, or during the festival hours at the official Memphis in May ticket booth at Riverside and Beale.
The first 2018 Memphis in May event is the Beale Street Music Festival, which begins this Friday, May 4, at 5:00 p.m. and ends on Sunday, May 6.
