MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Terminó la espera; la Organización de Memphis in May dio a conocer el miércoles, 13 de febrero, quiénes son los artistas que se estarán presentando en el Festival Musical de Beale Street 2019.

Entre los artistas más famosos, y del momento, que figuran en la lista están la recién galardonada con un premio Grammy por mejor álbum de rap, Cardi B; OneRepublic, Khalid, Dave Matthews Band, The Killers, G-Eazy, Charlie Wilson, Shinedown, Gary Clark Jr., India.Arie, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Lord Huron, Flogging Molly, 6lack, Trippie Redd, Chvrches y Lil Dicky.

Otros de los artistas que estarán participando en el popular festival son: Big Boi, Good Charlotte, Dirty Heads, In This Moment, Moneybagg Yo, Simple Plan, Rodrigo y Gabriela, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Blocboy Jb, Moon Taxi, Ravyn Lenae, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, Madison Beer, Bettye Lavette, Coin, Everlast, William Bell, The Suffers, John Kilzer and the Scars, Healy, Liz Brasher, Saving Abel, Joe Louis Walker, Southern Avenue, Ghost Town Blues Band, Nle Choppa, Anthony Russo, Muck Sticky, Guitar Shorty, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Will Tucker, Super Chikan, Hamish Anderson, Blind Mississippi Morris, Terry “Harmonica” Bean, Barbara Blue, Brandon Santini, Gracie Curran & The High Falutin’ Band y muchos más.

Cabe destacar que el 40% de los cantantes y grupos contratados para el evento de este año son puro talento local, así como de los alrededores de Memphis; esto por motivo del bicentenario de la ciudad y por ser ésta la elegida por Memphis in May para ser culturalmente honrada en esta ocasión.

“El Festival Musical de Beale Street tuvo una concurrencia de más 102.000 personas -provenientes de los cincuenta estados de la nación y hasta de otros veintidós países más- el año pasado, en Tom Lee Park”, dijo James L. Holt, presidente y director ejecutivo de Memphis in May. “Queríamos ofrecer una lista de artistas mucho más grande en el 2019, ya que nuestra ciudad celebra su bicentenario, y creemos que ésta puede ser nuestra mejor alineación de la historia”, agregó.

Catalogado por ser uno de los mejores festivales de música en todo el país, el Festival Musical de Beale Street se distingue por la gran diversidad de géneros musicales que ofrece, incluyendo rock, blues, soul, pop, R&B, hip hop, indie y country, entre otros ritmos. Durante la última década, ha atraído a más de 1,1 millones de personas provenientes de todas partes del mundo.

El 43ro Festival Musical de Beale Street será del viernes, 3 de mayo, hasta el domingo, 5 de mayo, en Tom Lee Park, ubicado en el Downtown a orillas del río Mississippi (Riverside at Beale Street. Memphis, TN, 38103). Los boletos ya están a la venta en eventbrite.com por un valor de $55 para cada día. It should be noted that, as a cultural salute to Memphis, forty percent of this year’s performers are locals.

“The Beale Street Music Festival saw more than 102,000 in Tom Lee Park last year with attendees from all fifty states and twenty-two countries,” said James L. Holt, President and CEO of Memphis in May. “We wanted to offer an even bigger lineup in 2019 as our city celebrates its bicentennial, and we feel like this may be our best lineup ever,” he added.

Named as one of the best music festivals in the country, the Beale Street Music Festival is distinguished for offering a great diversity of musical genres, including rock, blues, soul, pop, R&B, hip hop, indie, and country, among other rhythms. Over the past decade, it has attracted more than 1.1 million people from all over the world.

The 43rd Annual Beale Street Music Festival will be held from Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5, at Tom Lee Park (Downtown). Tickets can be purchased through eventbrite.com and are sold in advance as three-day passes for $135 (now through April 19), or single-day tickets for $55.
