ENGLISH:

When school is over and summer finally rolls around, most teenagers get summer jobs. Whether it be to gain experience, to save up money, or both, there are several things you should always keep in mind, as the most important aspect of any job is how you conduct yourself.

No matter what field you’re working in, be it food, retail, or childcare, be courteous and respectful to your customers. Though it may come naturally to many, it’s unfortunate that so many others treat customers badly. Even if the customer is wrong, it truly speaks to your character if you’re able to handle situations with composure.

Another thing that people on the job sometimes unconsciously do: use their cell phones. Though teenagers aren’t the only ones who do it, they often get the most flak for it when it happens. The use of your phone on the job (except for explicitly allowed work-related and emergency purposes) should never happen.

There are many summer job opportunities out there, even ones where you can employ yourself. Gardening work, childcare, and similar jobs are always in demand. You can also turn any of your interests into a good summer job, as many schools/institutions are looking for teen instructors for sports, academics, and more.

Working a summer job can be a great experience and valuable for job searches in the future!
