The Supreme Court Has Extended its Suspension of in Court Appearances

MEMPHIS, TN (City of Memphis) — The Supreme Court for the State of Tennessee has extended its suspension of in court appearances through May 30, 2020. Persons who have received tickets and notices to appear in court during the month of May should NOT appear in court on the date designated.
The Judges of the Memphis City Court would direct all persons with tickets scheduled for City Court during May to contact the City Court Clerk’s Office at 901-636-3400, 901-636-3450 or 901-636-3499.
Tickets may be considered for possible dismissal or resolution by fine to avoid coming to court, or rescheduling for a trial date to avoid multiple appearances.
Persons whoa have received tickets and notices for June and July should contact the City Court Clerk’s offices after May 15, 2020 to attempt to handle their tickets and avoid a court appearance.
Please do not appear for City Court until you have contacted the City Court Clerk’s office or received further notice from the court.
