Memphis Urban League Hosts Cook-Off Competition

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/Memphis Urban League) — Si eres hombre y te gusta cocinar, la Memphis Urban League (MUL) organizará su primera competencia Men Who Cook el sábado, 20 de julio de 2024 en First Baptist Church-Broad, 2849 Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112, de 11 a. m. a 3 p. m.

Los jueces serán el Dr. Sidney P. Malone, presidente de la junta de MUL, la jueza Earnestine Hunt Dorse, vicepresidenta de la junta de MUL, y la presidenta y directora ejecutiva interina de MUL, Gale Jones Carson.

La fecha límite para que los chefs/cocineros participen en el concurso es el lunes, 15 de julio de 2024. Se adjunta un formulario de inscripción que incluye las reglas del concurso.

Los fondos recaudados del Concurso Hombres que cocinan se utilizarán para apoyar nuestros programas de desarrollo económico y laboral y de educación y desarrollo juvenil.

Liga Urbana de Memphis ha estado sirviendo a la comunidad de Memphis desde 1943. La MUL imagina una ciudad donde todas las personas tengan el poder de alcanzar la autosuficiencia y compartir la prosperidad y el bienestar de la ciudad. MEMPHIS, TN (Memphis Urban League) — If you are a man and you like to cook, the Memphis Urban League (MUL) will host its first Men Who Cook competition Saturday, July 20, 2024, at First Baptist Church-Broad, 2849 Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The judges are MUL Board Chairman Dr. Sidney P. Malone, MUL Board Vice President Judge Earnestine Hunt Dorse and MUL Interim President/CEO Gale Jones Carson.

The deadline for chefs/cooks to enter the competition is Monday, July 15, 2024. Attached is a registration form which includes the rules for the competition.

Funds raised from the Men Who Cook Competition will be used to support our Workforce and Economic Development and Education and Youth Development programs.

The Memphis Urban League has been serving the Memphis community since 1943. The MUL envisions a city where all people are empowered toward self-sufficiency and share in the city’s prosperity and well-being. Their Mission is to assist African Americans, the under-served and economically disadvantaged to expand economic opportunities and secure equality, power, and civil rights.
