Bartlett Officer Hit By Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Made

BARTLETT, TN (WMC) — A Bartlett officer is recovering in the hospital following a police pursuit in the Wolfchase Galleria area Wednesday morning.
Officers initiated a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle in the 1100 block of North Germantown Parkway. Police say during the pursuit, the suspect struck the officer with their vehicle and attempted to drive away. The suspect then crashed the stolen vehicle and fled. Police say the suspect was later placed into custody.
The officer was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. It’s unclear what charges the driver faces.

BARTLETT, TN (LPL/WMC) — Un oficial de policía de Bartlett se está recuperando en el hospital luego de una persecución en el área de Wolfchase Galleria el miércoles por la mañana.
Los oficiales iniciaron una parada de tráfico de un vehículo robado en la cuadra 1100 de North Germantown Parkway. La policía dice que, durante la persecución, el sospechoso golpeó al oficial con su vehículo e intentó alejarse. Luego, el sospechoso estrelló el vehículo robado y se dio a la fuga. La policía dice que el sospechoso fue puesto bajo custodia más tarde.
El oficial resultó herido y fue trasladado a un hospital cercano para recibir tratamiento. No está claro qué cargos enfrenta el conductor.
