Messi, Mbappe rescue late 4-3 win for PSG over Lille
Paris, Feb 19 (EFE).- Lionel Messi scored a last-gasp winner as Paris Saint-Germain dramatically beat Lille 4-3 in Ligue Un on Sunday.
Having lost to Marseilles, Monaco and Bayern Munich in their last three outings, PSG looked set for another damaging defeat after Lille’s Bafode Diakite, Jonahan David, and Jonathan Bamba had canceled out first half goals by Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr.
But Mbappe came to the rescue in the 87th minute, finishing with a near-post strike after good work from Juan Bernat down the left flank.
Not to be outdone, Messi drew a foul on the edge of the area in the 94th minute before curling in a low free-kick off the post to send the Parc des Princes into raptures and end PSG’s miserable run of results. EFE
