Russia boosting presence on Ukraine’s eastern border, UK says

London, Apr 20 (EFE).- Russia’s military presence on Ukraine’s eastern border continues to increase while fighting in Donbas intensifies as Russian forces seek to break through Ukrainian defenses, British military intelligence said Wednesday.

Russian air activity in northern Ukraine is likely to be reduced following its withdrawal from north of Kyiv, the defense ministry said in its latest intelligence report.

“However, there is still a risk of precision strikes against priority targets throughout Ukraine,” it added.

Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities “show their intent to try and disrupt the movement of Ukrainian reinforcements and weaponry to the east of the country,” the ministry said. EFE
