Microsoft, Teams cloud outage affecting users worldwide

New York, Jan 25 (EFE).- Microsoft is experiencing network configuration issues affecting Microsoft 365 user services, including its Outlook email and the Teams application, the tech company said Wednesday.

“We have determined the network connectivity issue was occurring with devices across the Microsoft Wide Area Network (WAN),” read the statement published on Microsoft’s Azure platform, their cloud service provider.

The disruption “manifesting as network latency and/or timeouts” began between 7:05 – 9:45 UTC, the company said.

Among the Microsoft 365 services affected are Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, Outlook, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Graph, PowerBi, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

However, the company said that other products and services could also present failures.

According to Azure’s status page, the outage was recorded in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. The service was not disrupted in China. EFE mnc/aef/jt
