National Civil Rights Museum Announces 2022 Freedom Award Honorees
Museo Nacional de los Derechos Civiles anuncia a los galardonados con el Premio a la Libertad 2022

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) — The Nation Civil Rights Museum announced the honorees for the 2022 Freedom Award.
The 2022 Freedom Award honorees are Taylor Branch, Frederick W. Smith and Isabel Wilkerson.
NCRM says this award was created to recognize individuals for their contributions to civil and human rights and dedication to creating opportunities for the disenfranchised.
There will be a special tribute to Jeffery Robinson who filmed some of his documentary “WHO WE ARE: A Chronicle of Race in America” at NCRM and Lamman Rucker will host this year’s event.
In 2021, NCRM selected former first lady, Michelle Obama as one of the recipients.
The museum announces the recipients of the award at its annual event on Oct. 20.

Los galardonados con el Premio a la Libertad 2022 son Taylor Branch, Frederick W. Smith e Isabel Wilkerson.
NCRM dice que este premio fue creado para reconocer a las personas por sus contribuciones a los derechos civiles y humanos y su dedicación a la creación de oportunidades para las personas privadas de sus derechos.
Habrá un tributo especial a Jeffery Robinson, quien filmó parte de su documental “QUIÉNES SOMOS: Una crónica de la raza en Estados Unidos” en NCRM y Lamman Rucker será el anfitrión del evento de este año.
