Germany reports no Covid deaths for 1st time since Sept. 2020

Berlin, May 2 (EFE).- Germany on Monday reported no coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the first time no Covid-19 fatalities have been registered since 21 September 2020.

A total of 4,032 new cases were reported over the past 24 hours, compared to 11,718 a day before, while the death toll stood at 135,461.

Since the pandemic broke out, the number of confirmed infections has risen to 24,813,817; currently, the number of active cases is estimated at about 2,209,200.

As of Sunday, 77.6 percent of the German population, 64.5 million people, has been vaccinated, 75.8 percent are fully inoculated, 59.3 percent have been administered a booster and 4 percent injected a fourth jab. EFE
