En la Filantropía de Cultura sostenemos que el aporte cultural en la sociedad sirve como motor hacia la economía y empuje hacia la innovación social. Dentro del marco de lo que significa prosperidad para la sociedad y el individuo como parte de esa mezcla, nuestra identidad es la huella que nos otorga espacios para el aporte de servicios y creatividad. Nuestras acciones, tanto en persona como en modo virtual, son la voz de nuestra cultura.
Nuestro Comportamiento Cultural (CC) es el testimonio de los buenos valores que nos han traído hasta donde hemos llegado. El cuatrista venezolano Henry Linarez publicó precisamente la semana pasada en un Facebook Live su apreciación como cultor sobre lo que significa tener identidad. Muy sabiamente nos enseñó en su video que la identidad de la persona es la medida de su dignidad. Añadió el artista que estamos de fiesta todos aquellos que como cultores promovemos la música folklórica. La razón es porque el venezolano Miguel Siso fue el ganador del premio al Mejor Álbum Instrumental 2018 en los Latin Grammy; el cual precisamente se titula “Identidad” y es un testimonio de la versatilidad del cuatro venezolano.
Es un gran orgullo poder identificarnos como portadores de cultura y el éxito de uno significa prosperidad para todos. Ese pertenecer a un sistema de valores que nos provee digna “Identidad” es una honra que solamente se logra al trabajar sin cesar como filántropos de cultura, con el objetivo de conservar lo mejor de nuestra herencia.

In Culture Philanthropy we support the notion that culture is an asset for the economic growth and social innovation. Our “Identity” is a fundamental element in building prosperity for the community and for ourselves as individuals in that mix. How we represent ourselves serves as a mark that opens up opportunities to contribute with services and creative thought. Our actions, both in person and via virtual communications, are the voice of our culture.
Our Cultural Conduct (CC) is a testimony of the values that have allowed us to reach the goals we have attained so far. Venezuelan cuatro composer and player Henry Linarez published last week in a Facebook Live recording his appreciation as a cultural expert on what it means to possess an “Identidad” (Identity). He shared his wisdom with the assertion that the identity of the person is the measure of his dignity. Linarez added that as cultural practitioners we are all celebrating a major achievement in the world of folk music. The reason is because Miguel Siso, Venezuelan cuatro composer and player, was the winner of the prize for Best Instrumental Album 2018 in the Latin Grammy; which is precisely entitled “Identity” and is a testimony to the world of the versatility of the Venezuelan cuatro.
It is an honor to be able to identify ourselves as culture bearers. The success of one means prosperity for all as immigrants. Being part of a system of values that provides us with a dignifying “Identidad” is an honor that can only be achieved by working tirelessly as culture philanthropists with the aim of preserving the best of our heritage.
