More than 200 children killed in Ukraine war so far, says Kyiv

Kyiv, Apr 18 (EFE).- The number of children who have died in Ukraine since the Russian invasion on Feb.24 has reached 205, according to data published Monday by the Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram.

In addition, more than 362 children have been injured due to large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation, the Office said, although the numbers have not been independently verified.

The judicial agency explained that these data were not final, as they were trying to accurately count the number of victims in places where hostilities by the Russian army underway in the temporarily occupied territories, and also those that Ukraine has recaptured.

A total of 1,018 educational institutions have also been damaged, with and 95 of them completely destroyed in Russia’s air strikes and shelling. EFE
