Palestinian killed after allegedly stabbing 2 policemen in Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Mar 7 (EFE).- Israeli security forces shot a young Palestinian dead after he allegedly stabbed two policemen in Jerusalem’s Old City, official sources from both sides announced Monday.
The incident occurred at one of the walled Old City’s gates where an attacker stabbed two officers guarding that access to the Esplanade of the Mosques, the Israeli Border Police said.
Security forces present there fatally shot the attacker, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa announced.
Israeli medical teams treated the wounded officers on-site, before transporting them to nearby hospitals, where they were admitted in stable condition.
The Israeli Border Police and the Jerusalem District Police mobilized were deployed to the scene and sealed off the entrances to the walled city to disperse a group of Palestinians who had gathered in the vicinity. EFE
