Multiple casualties in shooting in FedEx facilities in US
Washington DC, Apr 16 (EFE).- A man opened fire Thursday night at a FedEx warehouse in Indianapolis, in the United States, leaving multiple casualties, the authorities reported.
The incident occurred shortly after 11pm at the FedEx facility, which employs some 4,500 people, and is located near the Indianapolis airport.
Police spokesperson Genae Cook told the media that the person who opened fire on people took his own life.
She added that there were multiple people with gunshot wounds, and several of them had been transferred to hospitals.
“We don’t feel that there is an active threat to the community at this time,” she underlined.
In recent weeks, there has been several incidents of mass shootings in the US, the deadliest of them on Mar. 22 at a supermarket in Colorado, in which 10 people died.
A week earlier, on Mar. 16, a man killed eight people in several attacks on massage parlors in Atlanta, Georgia. EFE
