PSG sign Mukiele on 5-year deal

Paris, Jul 26 (EFE).- Paris Saint-Germain have signed Nordi Mukiele on a five-year contract from Leipzig, PSG said on Tuesday.

“The French defender is now tied to the club from the French capital until 30 June 2027,” the Ligue 1 club said in a statement.

Local media estimate that the French club paid Leipzig 12 million euros for the services of the 24-year-old.

He is PSG’s third signing this summer, following the arrivals of Vitinha from Porto and Hugo Ekitike on loan from Reims.

“Playing for your hometown team is obviously a dream,” Mukiele said. “Playing for Paris is a massive honor for me, for my friends and for my family, and I’m really happy to have worked so hard to be here today”.

Mukiele began his professional career at Montpellier in the 2017-2018 season, before joining the Bundesliga’s RB Leipzig.

During his four-year spell at Leipzig, he played 145 matches and helped them claim the German Cup title last season.

“Merci and good luck for the future, Nordi! You’ll always be a part of the RBL family,” the German club said in a statement. EFE
