MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — En el área de Nutbush aparecen carteles pegados en varios postes de luz que dicen : ¡ICE, fuera de nuestra comunidad! ¡Te estamos vigilando!

ICE es la agencia federal encargada de aplicar y ejecutar las leyes migratorias.

Los vecinos no saben quién los puso, lo cierto es que han creado inquietud.

Durante varias semanas, agentes de ICE han estado haciendo arrestos en esa área que terminan en deportaciones.

Algunas fuentes dijeron que un grupo de activistas latinos colocó los carteles.

En todo el país, la agencia federal ICE y algunos departamentos de policía han estado colaborando en arrestos; los arrestados a veces no tienen antecedentes criminales y terminan siendo deportados a su país de origen.

ICE is the federal agency in charge of applying and executing immigration laws.

The neighbors do not know who put them, but the truth is that they have created concern.

For several weeks now, ICE agents have been making arrests in that area that lead to deportations.

Some sources say that a group of Latino activists placed those signs.

Across the country, the federal agency ICE and some police departments have been collaborating in arrests; those that have been detained, sometimes, have no criminal record and end up being deported to their country of origin.

One organization noted that ICE has been focusing on arresting and deporting activists who have been politically active for years, since they are investigating in social media and news activity.
