Weather warnings issued as UK sizzles

London, Jul 21 (EFE).- Weather warnings for high temperatures are in place in parts of the United Kingdom as temperatures climbed higher than 30C (86F) across much of the country.

The Meteorological Office issued amber warnings for soaring highs in southwest England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland on Wednesday recorded its highest-ever temperature for the second time in five days, according to provision Met Office data, as the mercury hit 31.3C.

The hot weather is due to give way to heavy rain at the weekend, with yellow warnings issued across southern England and Wales.EFE
