At least 4 doctors killed amid Russian strikes in Ukraine’s Kharkiv

Lviv, Ukraine, Sep 18 (EFE).- At least four health workers have been killed in Russian shelling in the northeastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv, regional authorities said Sunday.

The deceased were trying to evacuate patients from a psychiatric hospital when the shelling began in the Kharkiv village of Stril’che.

“The occupiers cause merciless terror against civilians,” Kharkiv regional military administration head Oleh Synyehubov wrote in a Telegram post.

Ukrainian authorities reported earlier fresh and intense Russian attacks in the south and east of the country.

Russian strikes have left at least five civilians killed in eastern Donetsk, while dozens of residential buildings, as well as gas and electricity networks, have been damaged in the southern city of Nikopol.

In newly-liberated Izyum, the identification of bodies found with signs of torture in the 440 mass graves found there so far has kicked off.

An undetermined number of the 59 bodies that have been unearthed so far have been identified, according to Ukrainian deputy prime minister Iryna Vereshchuk.EFE
