Neymar completes move from PSG to Al Hilal

Riyad, Aug 15 (EFE).- Neymar Jr has joined Al Hilal after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the Saudi club said Tuesday.
In a video posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Neymar appears wearing a blue Al Hilal jersey, saying “I am here in Saudi Arabia. I am Hilali.”
The club did not disclose the details of the transfer or the Brazilian’s contract, but French media reported that the deal will see Al Hilal pay around 90 million euros to PSG.
Neymar has reportedly signed a two-season contract for around 100 million euros a year.
PSG paid Barca 222m euros – a world record fee – for the Brazil star in 2017, hoping that Neymar would help propel the team to Champions League glory and into Europe’s elite.
But despite years of massive spending, PSG have failed to win the Champions League, reaching the final only once.
The move comes as PSG look to offload highly paid stars such as Neymar and Lionel Messi – who left for Inter Miami this summer – in favor of recruiting younger players and promoting French talent. EFE
