Neymar, Messi, Mbappe lead PSG to 6-2 friendly win over Gamba Osaka

Sports Desk, Jul 25 (EFE).- Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe on Monday were on target as Paris Saint-Germain concluded their Japan pre-season tour with a 6-2 victory over Gamba Osaka.

It was Pablo Sarabia who shed first blood nearly a half an hour into an eventful first half when he curled home after the goalkeeper stopped a shot from Messi. Four minutes later, Neymar doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute.

A nice team effort cut PSG’s lead in the 34th minute as Keisuke Korokawa put Gamba Osaka on the scoreboard from close range after goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two attempts in quick succession.

Nuno Mendes, however, restored PSG’s two-goal lead on a powerful left-foot shot in the 37th minute, three minutes before Messi made it 4-1 after connecting with Neymar.

Shortly before the one-hour mark, Neymar completed his brace after dribbling around goalkeeper seizing on a brilliant through ball from Messi.

Hiroto Yamani scored the Japanese team’s second goal in the 70th minute, before super-sub Mbappe got and successfully converted a penalty kick with four minutes to go before the second-half injury time.

On a high note, the French club concluded the Japanese tour that saw them defeat Kawasaki Frontale 2-1 and Urawa 3-0. EFE
