A Bicycle Race Is Being Organized to Benefit Church Health
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/CHURCH HEALTH) — Ciclistas de todos los niveles se reunirán el sábado, 14 de abril, para la vigésima primera Carrera Anual de Bicicletas “Charles Finney Memorial Ride” (the 21st annual Charles Finney Memorial Ride) a beneficio de Church Health. Organizada originalmente por Charles Finney, el fundador de Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club (MHBC) y quien falleció en el 2012, la carrera atrae a entusiastas del ciclismo, incluyendo a los más competitivos. Los pasajeros pueden elegir entre tres rutas: 19, 36 y 63 millas, todas comenzando en la plaza de Crosstown Concourse.
“Durante varios años, hemos comenzado el viaje desde el antiguo centro comercial (factory outlet mall) de Lakeland, que ahora está siendo demolido para darle paso a un nuevo proyecto. Al buscar una nueva ubicación, la opción obvia fue el nuevo hogar de nuestro beneficiario elegido, Church Health, en Crosstown Concourse”, dijo Jim Greer, actual organizador del evento.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/CHURCH HEALTH) — Bicyclists of all levels will convene Saturday, April 14 for the 21st annual Charles Finney Memorial Ride to benefit Church Health. Organized by the Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club (MHBC) founder Charles Finney who passed away in 2012, the ride draws biking enthusiasts who range from casual riders to serious competitors. Riders can choose from three routes – 19, 36, and 63 miles – all beginning on the plaza at Crosstown Concourse.
“For several years, we have started the ride from the old factory outlet mall in Lakeland, which is now being demolished to make way for a new development. Searching for a new location, the obvious choice was the new home of our chosen beneficiary, Church Health, at Crosstown Concourse,” said Jim Greer, ride organizer.
Pre-registration for the race is available now at MemphisHightailers.com. Same-day registration opens at 7 a.m. with the ride beginning at 8 a.m. Participants will take various routes north through Shelby Farms and then return to Crosstown Concourse for food, beverages, and story-swapping.
