Over 20 people injured in explosion in Sweden’s Gothenburg

Copenhagen, Sep 28 (EFE).- At least 23 people were injured after an explosion rocked an apartment building in Gothenburg in western Sweden, medical sources said Tuesday.

The Sahlgrenska University Hospital said that three women aged between 60 and 80 years suffered serious injuries.

The building caught fire at around 5.00 am (3.00 GMT) after the blast, forcing some of its residents to evacuate, according to emergency services.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion.EFE
