Over 60,000 fans to attend Euro finals

London, Jun 22 (EFE).- The British government on Tuesday confirmed that over 60,000 fans will be allowed into the Wembley stadium for the semifinal and final of the Euro 2020, which exceeds 75% capacity.

This is much more than 22,500 spectators who have attended the round-robin games and the 45,000-fan limit that was originally expected for the final stages.

The decision came after pressure from political leaders to move the final stages to a country where the pandemic situation could allow more fans into the stadium.

It will be the event with the highest number of spectators in the United Kingdom since the pandemic broke out. Spectators will have to have received their two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine at least 14 days ahead of the match or show a negative antigen test. EFE
