Ja Morant scored 8 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter to help the Memphis Grizzlies beat the New Orleans Pelicans 115-110 to secure a spot in the postseason play-in tournament.
Morant finished with a double-double of 12 points and 12 assists while Dillon Brooks scored 23 points and Jonas Valanciunas added 20 with 11 rebounds and five blocks to give the home team the victory.
The Grizzlies, who are in ninth position in the Western Conference, have three more games left at home. Dallas Mavericks is in town tonight while Thursday and Friday the Sacramento Kings come to the FedexForum. Memphis ends the regular season visiting the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, May 16.
The Play-In consists of two different series to a game, first between the 7th and 8th and second between the 9th and 10th classified of each Conference. The winner of the match between 7th and 8th will obtain automatic qualification for the Playoffs. The loser of that match will be local to the winner of the 9th and 10th, and the winner of this new match will be the 8th classified for the Playoffs.
