Solskjaer leaves Manchester United following string of poor results

Sports Desk, Nov 21 (EFE).- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as head coach at Manchester United following the team’s 4-1 defeat to Watford.

The club said in a statement Sunday that Michael Carrick would take over as interim manager.

“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision,” the statement read.

“While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.”

The former Manchester United player leaves the team in 7th place in the Premier League, with 17 points from 12 games. EFE
