Paul, Booker lead Phoenix Suns to 118-105 win over Milwaukee Bucks

Phoenix, US, Jul 6 (EFE).- The Phoenix Suns, aiming to win their first-ever NBA title, got off to a flying start in the NBA Finals playoff series on Tuesday with a 118-105 win against the Milwaukee Bucks, who saw the return of their star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the lineup.

The Suns’ win was sculpted by Chris Paul, who made 32 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds, and Devin Booker, who had 27 points and 6 assists.

Khris Middleton was top scorer for the Bucks with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while Antetokounmpo, who returned to the lineup after missing the last two games of the Eastern Conference finals against the Atlanta Hawks due to injury, managed 20 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists in 35 minutes of play.

The Suns seemed to be more energetic and alert than their rivals throughout the game, perhaps because of the extra rest they had before the Finals, having finished their Western Conference finals series days before the Bucks.

Game 2 will also be played in Phoenix on Thursday with the hosts leading the best-of-seven series 1-0. EFE
