San Sebastian, Spain, Sep 16 (EFE).- Spanish actress Penelope Cruz arrived Friday in the northern Spanish city of San Sebastian for the 70th edition of the international film festival.
Cruz arrived at the emblematic María Cristina hotel fashionably late amid dozens of fans and photographers trying to get a glimpse of the glamorous actress.
The internationally acclaimed actress will present On the Fringe, a film about evictions that marks the debut of Spanish-Argentine director Juan Diego Botto, at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
On Saturday, she will receive the National Film Award presented by the Spanish ministry of culture in honor of her international career.
The 48-year-old became the first Spanish actor to receive an Oscar for best supporting actress in 2009.
In 2019, she won the San Sebastian Film Festival Donostia Award for her career.
The 70th edition of the festival kicks off Friday and will run until September 24. EFE
