Wolfchase Shooter Sentenced to 31 Years
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL / SCDAO) — Un hombre condenado en marzo por intento de asesinato en primer grado y otras ofensas en un tiroteo en el 2015 en el estacionamiento de Wolchase Galleria Mall fue sentenciado el miércoles a 31 años en prisión, dijo La fiscal del Distrito de Shelby County Amy Weirich.
Un jurado del Tribunal Penal también condenó al acusado Anterrio Chambers, de 22 años, por dos cargos de asalto agravado con un arma mortal y empleo de un arma de fuego con la intención de cometer un delito grave peligroso.
Fue sentenciado por el juez Bobby Carter.
El incidente ocurrió alrededor de las 7:15 p.m. el 15 de julio de 2015, cuando dos hombres regresaban a su vehículo desde el patio de un restaurante y fueron confrontados por Chambers y otro hombre. MEMPHIS, TN (SCDAO) — A man convicted in March of attempted first-degree murder and other offenses in a 2015 shooting in the parking lot of the Wolchase Galleria was sentenced Wednesday to 31 years in prison, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
A Criminal Court jury also convicted defendant Anterrio Chambers, 22, of two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and employment of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony.
He was sentenced by Judge Bobby Carter.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on July 15, 2015, when two men were returning to their vehicle from the food court and were confronted by Chambers and another man. After words were exchanged, the victims got into their vehicle which then was hit by gunfire from Chambers and his unidentified companion.
The victims drove away quickly and were not injured. During the trial, jurors were shown video of the shooting captured by security cameras at the mall.
