London, Feb 10 (EFE) – Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, on Thursday tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time and was self-isolating.
“His Royal Highness is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible,” Clarence House said on Twitter.
This is the second time that Queen Elizabeth II’s firstborn, 73, has contracted the virus, after first catching it in 2020.
On Wednesday, the Prince of Wales and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, attended a reception held at the British Museum to commemorate the work of the British Asian Trust.
The news comes days after the monarch celebrated her Platinum Jubilee – her 70th year on the throne – during which she expressed her “sincere wish” that Camilla would become queen consort when Charles becomes king. EFE
