Pumas beat All Blacks for first time on New Zealand soil

Sports Desk, Aug 27 (EFE).- Argentina on Saturday defeated the All Blacks (18-25) for the first time on New Zealand soil pushing the Puma’s to the top of the Rugby Championship.

Argentina achieved its first-ever win over New Zealand in a Rugby Championship in Sidney two years ago.

Winger Emiliano Boffelli kicked 20 points and his flawless performance led Argentina to victory, after clinching two wins across three games.

The Pumas’ victory came after a resounding home win over Australia (48-17).

Earlier, the Wallabies managed to bounce back from their losses to Argentina with a 25-17 win against South Africa at the Adelaide Oval on Matchday 3 of the Rugby Championship.

A great defense and good offensive strikes gave the Australian team a clear advantage over the Springboks.

The Rugby Championship is an international rugby competition contested annually by the four highest-ranked teams in the Southern Hemisphere: Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. EFE
