¿Qué Pasa Si Pasa? Latino Memphis’ Youth Design Competition

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Latino Memphis anunció su convocatoria para jóvenes del 9no. al 12vo. grado escolar en el Medio Sur (Arkansas, Mississippi y Tennessee).
Esta competencia es con el fin de mostrar las habilidades artísticas de los jóvenes, cuyas obras pueden relacionarse o estar directamente ligadas a las leyes actuales de inmigración.
Los trabajos a presentar pueden ser hechos con técnicas de pintura, dibujo o diseño gráfico/Ilustración. El diseño ganador será usado en la campaña “¿Qué pasa si pasa? Conozca Sus Derechos”, de Latino Memphis, que será realizada en toda la ciudad.
En base a las experiencias de jóvenes “Dreamers” y con DACA, las imágenes mostrarán emociones en torno a “la urgencia existente para que las familias actúen y estén preparadas en caso de que ocurra lo impensable y tengan que ser separadas, causando luego grandes dificultades y angustia emocional”.
Los trabajos artísticos serán recibidos a partir del 1 de marzo hasta el día 23 del mismo mes; la inscripción es gratis. Cada participante puede entregar dos diseños originales.
Latino Memphis espera premiar a 25 ganadores, quienes obtendrán premios de hasta 500 dólares y serán notificados el 23 de abril a través de un correo electrónico.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Latino Memphis is calling young artists from grades 9th to 12th in the Mid-South area.
The purpose of this competition is to show youth artistic skills whose works can be related or directly linked to the current immigration laws.
The works to be submitted can be done with painting techniques, drawing or graphic design/Illustration. The winning design will be used in Latino Memphis’ next campaign “What happens if it happens? Know Your Rights,” which will be held throughout the city.
Based on the experiences of young “Dreamers” and DACA recipients, the images will show “the sense of urgency that families must take action and be prepared in case the unthinkable happens and families become separated causing great hardship and emotional distress,” according to Latino Memphis.
The artistic works will be received from March 1 until the 23rd of the same month; registration is free. Each participant can submit two original designs.
Latino Memphis expects to reward 25 winners, who will receive prizes of up to $500 and will be notified on April 23 via email.
