Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois extends contract until 2026

Madrid, Aug 16 (EFE).- Thibaut Courtois has extended his contract with Real Madrid until June 2026, the LaLiga club said Monday.

The Belgian goalkeeper, 29, joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2018 and was due to be out of contract in June 2024.

“Real Madrid C. F. and Thibaut Courtois have agreed an extension to the player’s contract which will see him remain at the club for the next five seasons, up until 30 June 2026,” said the club in a statement.

Courtois helped Madrid win the LaLiga title in 2019/20, the Spanish Super Cup in 2019/20, and the 2018 Fifa Club World Cup. EFE
