Sports Desk, Dec 30 (EFE).- Rodri and Julian Alvarez scored as Manchester City comfortably beat Sheffield United at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Saturday.
Spain midfielder Rodri opened the scoring when he poked the ball in from the edge of the box after 14 minutes.
Argentinian forward Julian Alvarez added a deserved second on the hour mark, tapping in after Phil Foden had been played in by Oscar Bobb.
City’s dominance meant that Sheffield did not register a shot on goal in the second half.
The win sees City leapfrog Arsenal, who travel to Fulham on Sunday, into second behind Liverpool, while Sheffield remain bottom of the table. EFE
