Ronaldo completes Camino de Santiago after Valladolid promotion

Santiago, Spain, Jun 8 (EFE).- Real Valladolid president and former Real Madrid and Barcelona star Ronaldo Nazario completed the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail on an e-bike on Wednesday, fulfilling a promise he made after his club won promotion to LaLiga next season.

He was received by a crowd of people, including the Director of Tourism of Galicia, Nava Castro.

The Brazilian legend kicked off his journey on Sunday at Valladolid’s José Zorrilla alongside his partner, Celina Locks, as well as a guide, a physiotherapist, a mechanic, and an additional assistant.

“The Camino is going to be very beautiful, physically I know that I’m going to suffer but it’s going to be an unforgettable experience,” Ronaldo said at the start of the challenge.

“When we were relegated, I knew we were going to have to work extremely hard to return to LaLiga. I made the promise, we have done a very good job, especially at the beginning of the year, with all the changes we have made, the whole philosophy we changed,” he added. EFE
