Ronaldo to bike Camino de Santiago after Valladolid’s promotion

Valladolid, Spain, Jun 5 (EFE).- Real Valladolid’s president Ronaldo Nazário on Sunday took off along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route on his bike, fulfilling a promise after his club secured promotion to LaLiga.

The former Brazil star kicked off his four-day trip at Valladolid’s Zorrilla stadium in front of a gaggle of journalists.

He acknowledged he had not trained for the journey, which he is tackling on an electric bike.

“The Camino is going to be very beautiful, physically I know that I’m going to suffer but it’s going to be an unforgettable experience,” Ronaldo said.

“When we were relegated (…) I made the promise, we have done a very good job, especially at the beginning of the year, with all the changes we have made, all the philosophy we have changed,” he added.

He will be accompanied by his partner, Celina Locks, a guide, a physiotherapist, a mechanic, a support person and a recording team to create content for his Twitch channel, Ronaldo TV. EFE
