Russia attacks 500 Ukrainian targets, destroys 17 ammunition depots

Moscow, May 11 (EFE).- Russian forces carried out more than 500 attacks on military targets in Ukraine overnight and destroyed 17 munitions depots, as well as 59 units of military equipment, according to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow.

Defense ministry spokesperson General Igor Konashenkov said their operational-tactical and military aircraft struck 93 targets, including two command posts, 69 assembly areas for soldiers and military equipment, as well as three munitions depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He added that rocket troops and artillery units attacked 407 areas of amassments of manpower and military equipment, destroying 13 command posts, four positions of Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems and 14 ammunition depots.

In these attacks, Russia killed more than 280 soldiers and destroyed 59 units of military equipment belonging to the Ukrainians, according to Konashenkov.

In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed nine Ukrainian drones during the night, including four near the village of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region; three near Rubizhne, in Lugansk; one near Zmiinyi Island (Snake Island) and a Turkish-made Bayraktar-TB2 near Arkhangelsk, in Mykolaiv region.
