Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Kanye West to headline Coachella

Los Angeles, US, Jan 12 (EFE).- Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West (now called Ye) will headline the famous Coachella music festival after two years of Covid-induced hiatus, organizers announced Wednesday.

The festival, which will take place over two consecutive weekends (Apr. 15-17, 22-24) in Indio, east of Los Angeles, is considered one of the biggest and best-regarded in the world.

Others announced in the line-up include house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia, Megan Thee Stallion, Phoebe Bridgers, Run the Jewels, Karol G, Fatboy Slim, Jamie XX, Caribou, Arlo Parks, Idles, Spiritualized, Hot Chip and Carly Rae Jepsen.

YouTube will again be in charge of the official live-streaming service for the two weekends over which this leading event for rock, indie, hip-hop and electronic music is held, and will be the official channel of the event, taking the music to millions of fans all over the world.

In March 2020 Coachella was postponed to later that year, but the pandemic meant that it could not be held then, nor in 2021.

Now, vaccination rates against Covid-19 are much higher, although the Omicron variant has caused a surge in infections.

However, the organizers say they are committed to being able to guarantee all sanitary measures. Entry will require a negative Covid-19 test or full vaccination. EFE
