Russian attack on Dnipro health clinic kills 1, injures 15
Kyiv, May 26 (EFE).- One person was killed and 15 were injured on Friday in a Russian missile attack on a health clinic in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, fearing more victims under the rubble.
“Another Russian missile attack, another crime against humanity,” Zelenskyy said.
“The buildings of a psychological clinic and a veterinary clinic in the city of Dnipro were destroyed. As of now, one person was killed and 15 were wounded.”
He said the debris was being cleared and the victims rescued.
“Only an evil state can fight against clinics. There can be no military purpose in this,” he said, calling the missile attack on the health facility “pure Russian terror.”
“Russia has chosen the path of evil of its own will, and it will not abandon this path by itself. We must defeat terror and we will do it. Ukraine and the entire free world together.”
The Ukrainian president said emergency teams were working at the scene, looking for more possible victims.
Dnipropetrovsk military administration head Serhii Lysak said two children aged 3 and 6 were among the wounded.
He said two hospitalized adults were in serious condition.
The Ukrainian Interior Ministry released a video showing images of the destroyed building.
A column of smoke billows out from inside the complex surrounded by firefighters.
The news of the attack on the Dnipro clinic comes hours after Russian forces launched a barrage of drones and missiles on Dnipro last night, destroying several private infrastructures. EFE
