London, Mar 28 (EFE).- Russian forces have gained the most ground around the southern Ukraine city of Mariupol where intense fighting continues as Moscow tries to capture a key port, according to British defense intelligence published Monday.
The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense added that “in the last 24 hours there has been no significant change to Russian forces depositions in occupied Ukraine.”
“Ongoing logistical shortages have been compounded by a continued lack of momentum and morale amongst the Russian military, and aggressive fighting by the Ukrainians,” the defense report continued.
“Russia has gained most ground in the south in the vicinity of Mariupol, where heavy fighting continues as Russia attempts to capture the port,” the update said. EFE
