Scotland’s Gilmour tests positive for Covid-19, to miss Croatia game

London, Jun 21 (EFE).- Scotland’s rising star Billy Gilmour has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the nation’s last Euro 2020 group stage game against Croatia.

The news comes just days after Scotland held bitter rivals England to a 0-0 draw on Friday.

“Having liaised with Public Health England, Billy will now self-isolate for 10 days and therefore miss tomorrow’s UEFA EURO 2020 Group D match against Croatia at Hampden,” the Scottish Football Association said in a statement.

It comes as a setback for Scotland, who need to win against Croatia to have any chance of making it to the last-16. Gilmour, 20, plays for English club Chelsea.EFE
