MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — After having a huge success last year, Crosstown will be holding its second 10K race benefiting Church Health. The event, which is part of the “Start2Finish Run the 901 Series,” will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 8 AM. Registration is now open.

“We’re honored Start2Finish will once again help Church Health highlight our Crosstown neighbors and neighborhood, while supporting vital health services and outreach,” says Jenny Koltnow, Director of Communications and Development for Church Health. “Back by popular demand, the race, which starts and ends at Crosstown Concourse, will feature an indoor post-party and awards ceremony, cooking demonstrations, taste testings, live music, vendor samples, information booths, and more,” she added.

Church Health is the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare organization of its kind in the United States that provides health services to people with little or no access to health care. Since its founding in 1987, it has provided medical and dental care, among other nutrition and physical wellness services, to more than 70,000 people without health insurance who live in the city of Memphis. In March of 2017, Church Health consolidated its 13 locations by relocating to a much larger and modern clinic at Crosstown Concourse, where it now provides – under one roof – medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, physical rehabilitation, wellness and nutrition services.

The so-called “Start2Finish Run the 901 Series” consists of a four-race event, with increasingly longer distances, which will take place between the months of January and March of 2019, ending with the Germantown Half Marathon.

The Crosstown 10K race will not only raise funds for Church Health, it will also help create more awareness in the community about how to lead a healthy life in every way. To participate in this race, one must register first logging on https://crosstown10k.racesonline.com/home, completing a form and paying a fee of $40 (if done before January 26) or $50 (until the day of the event).
