Seven children among injured after car crashes into primary school in London

London, Jul 6 (EFE).- Seven children were among nine people who were injured when a car crashed into an elementary school in southwest London on Thursday, police said.

A spokesperson for Merton Police said officers responded to a call shortly before 10am local time after a Land Rover collided with a building at the school in Wimbledon.

“The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene,” the London Metropolitan Police said, adding that no arrests have been made, confirming that seven children and two adults were injured.

“We are not treating this incident as terror-related. An investigation is under way,” the Met statement added. EFE
